Safety Light Curtains for Automated Manufacture Equipment

Photo on right is our Thailand automotive project, safety light curtains are an important component in ensuring the safety of automated processing equipment. They use infrared beams to create an invisible barrier that, when interrupted, triggers a safety response to stop the machinery.

To install safety light curtains for your automated processing equipment, here are a few steps you can follow:

1. Assess the Area: Determine the specific areas where the light curtains need to be installed to provide maximum safety coverage. Consider the height, width, and configuration of the machinery to ensure proper placement.

2. Choose the Right Light Curtains: Select light curtains that meet the safety requirements for your equipment, taking into account factors like detection range, resolution, and response time. Make sure they comply with relevant safety standards.

3. Mount the Light Curtains: Install the light curtains at the appropriate height and alignment, making sure they cover the hazardous areas. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.

4. Connect to the Control System: Connect the light curtains to the control system of your automated equipment. This may involve wiring the curtains to safety relays or safety controllers that can monitor the beam interruption and trigger the appropriate response.

5. Test and Validate: Once the installation is complete, thoroughly test the light curtains to ensure they function correctly. Check for proper beam alignment, response time, and sensitivity. Conduct validation tests to confirm that the curtains reliably stop the machinery when the beams are interrupted.

Remember, safety is paramount when working with automated processing equipment. DADISICK suggest inspecting and maintain the light curtains periodically to ensure they continue to provide effective protection.
